GHRH
Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone — a peptide produced by the hypothalamus that signals the pituitary gland to secrete growth hormone.
Also known as:
Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone GH releasing hormone
GHRH is the natural upstream signal in the growth hormone axis: the hypothalamus releases GHRH → the pituitary releases GH → the liver produces IGF-1. Synthetic GHRH analogs like Sermorelin, CJC-1295, and Tesamorelin mimic this signal, stimulating the pituitary to release GH in a pattern that preserves the natural pulsatile rhythm.
GHRH analogs are often combined with GHRPs in a “stack” — GHRH provides the pulse, while GHRP amplifies the magnitude of the GH release. This combination is considered more physiologically natural than exogenous HGH administration.
